There Is No Lack Of Time, Only Lack Of Interest

There is no lack of time, only lack of interest

There is no such thing as a lack of time, they say, only a lack of interest. Because if someone really wants something, early mornings turn into early days and every moment becomes an opportunity.

If you want to please others, you will only be disappointed and suffer as a result. It is a fact that when someone in your life shows a lack of interest, it hurts a lot. It goes even further than disappointment. It can feel like a painful punch to your stomach, like something inside your soul is tearing apart.

The moment you get hurt, there’s nothing you can do to ease that pain. After all, keeping your sanity in the face of neglect and humiliation demands a lot from you.

The truth is that each of us undergoes great changes through time as well as through painful experiences. This constant change is difficult, because what we wanted to share with someone today, we may not want to share tomorrow. Nevertheless , this does not justify a lack of sincerity, nor maintaining an unfair relationship with others.

Accepting the unfairness of time gone by

Unfortunately, we often encounter dishonesty and hypocrisy where we least expect it and don’t see the danger until it’s too late. The hope that someone is who we think they are can often leave us with a false sense of security. In reality, we should always be on our guard.

It is because of this false sense of security that we get into trouble. The truth is that selfishness is a common human trait and those who are not controlled by it are the most likely victims of it. If you are one of these victims, it can be extremely difficult to open your eyes and see what is really happening. It can be so hard because we refuse to believe that someone we consider important part of our lives could ever be insincere.

Normally, insincere or selfish people are people who do not enjoy life, nor do they let the people around them enjoy it. When asked to explain their behavior, they become irritated and try to avoid confrontation at all costs. It is very possible that they will devour you with biting comments in such a way that you, hungry for acceptance, will feed yourself on the bittersweet hope they give you.

Be absent from those who don’t care about your presence

Sometimes you can waste your time insisting on seeing someone who doesn’t make any effort to see you. You lose time forcing situations you think are necessary. You regularly deceive yourself by looking for something without letting it find you.

When you realize this, something inside you breaks and the disappointment, fear and sadness can be overwhelming. That’s when you realize you can’t wait for someone who doesn’t want to be waited on.

This whole sequence of events sets in motion the difficult process of self-protection. This process requires that you restore your understanding of life and that you no longer allow all those hurtful and selfish people into your life.

Surround yourself with the people you like and be happy

Live by the values you consider fundamental and essential in life. Enjoy the sensitivity, kindness and respect that can be found in the most unlikely places. Enjoy the beauty of humility, trust, faith, gratitude, wisdom, sincerity, love, friendship, care and unconditionality.

Keep the most important people and things close to you. Drive out the cruel and the vile. Don’t pay attention to toxic people. Select your oxygen carefully; count to three and breathe. Take a deep breath and feel the mental and emotional air fill your lungs. Acknowledge your emotions and the feeling they give you.

Surround yourself with all those people who make you feel like the world is a place worth living. Always carry that cloak of self-protection with you to use on difficult and stormy days. Reject all those people who don’t appreciate you enough. Never beg for someone else’s time and break up with the people who don’t seem to have even a moment of their time for you.

Free yourself from everything that holds you captive. Let life surprise you. Don’t expect anything from anyone, just yourself. The rest will come when you least expect it.
