If You Dare To Teach, Don’t Stop Learning

If you dare to teach, don't stop learning

Each of us is aware that knowing and teaching are two very different things. We know how hard it is to teach and yet we often don’t really appreciate it.

I like to say that  education is the ball gown to attend the party of life in.  I like this comparison because it’s an honest and inspiring expression, because it touches something in me and makes me remember…

I remember and thank all those people who taught me at some point in my life, and perhaps still today. And it is true that  teaching is the most noble goal a person can have,  the most noble and the most productive.

Teaching the art of learning

You become a good teacher through a magical formula containing various ingredients. Teaching requires great mastery of different talents and many competencies. Let’s take a closer look at some of them.

An interest in the world and life

True interest in teaching goes beyond the limits of pedagogy.  It’s something much more personal. It is an interest to teach hearts and emotions.

Good education is the kind that you carry with you all your life, that leaves an imprint in you, that makes you ask questions, where there is room for doubt, that inspires learning. That rests on one foundation alone: the foundation of interest and admiration for those who teach for life.

Love for books and reading

Feeling a complete reverence for all objects that spread knowledge, a love for books and the pleasure they give.

Love for your students

Whether they are children or not, it is vital that a person who dares to teach loves everyone they have to help them learn. Good teachers get this done, even if they can’t put it into words.

Controlling your emotions

It is said that before you teach someone to read, you must first teach them the value of things. They try to put themselves in the shoes of their students, identify their emotions and use them with love only to allow the student to grow, develop and find all their hopes and dreams within themselves.

Only with the help of good teachers (teachers of life and professional teachers) can we learn to love, to appreciate tranquility and to stand upright.

The most endless patience and serenity

Teachers have the amazing gift of transforming frustration and despair into calm, wise, and steadfast energy. In other words, what really counts is the sum of everything that is taught and how it is taught.

What we owe our teachers and educators

Carl Jung was right when he said that we remember the brilliant teachers with appreciation and those who touched our hearts with gratitude. We owe infinite gratitude to the people who have taught us, still teach, and teach our children.

Just as we never stop trying to apply new knowledge to educate our children, teachers  leave their homes every day with satisfaction and frustration that inspire them to go above and beyond the call of duty.

To say that teachers teach is very blunt. A good teacher is a teacher by calling, one who not only teaches but also stimulates our memory, our intelligence, our sensitivity and our imagination. This is someone who wakes up our brains and shows us the importance of patience.

Teachers are the savior of society as they give each of their students a passport to enlightenment. Thanks to them, our lives and our future are overflowing, thanks to their invitation to think, thanks to their words and inspiration.
